Caribbean construction is typically masonry and concrete and provides a solid construction envelope. Norstar Group, also offers ‘Insulated Concrete Form’ construction which consists of a pre-engineered polystyrene block filled with 6” concrete. This method of construction provides additional mass to the construction envelope when compared to traditional masonry construction, this additional mass and insulation reduces household utility costs. With rising fuel prices we have found this ‘green’ alternative a favorite form of construction with our clients.
